Awarded to three College of Business students who have presented outstanding business plans at the student competition during the Entrepreneurship Expo. Students will compete for prize money to be used as seed money to help launch a small business.

Awarded to students majoring in the Business field. Awards are based on academic achievement and participation in extra-curricular activities. Consideration will be given to financial need.

Current students in the College of Business who have been elected into Beta Gamma Sigma are eligible to apply for the Beta Gamma Sigma Scholarship.  Election to Beta Gamma Sigma in the College of Business is based on cumulative GPA as follows: top 7% of juniors who have been admitted to the College of Business, the top 10% of graduating seniors, and the top 20% of graduating MBA students.   

Awarded annual to a student majoring in Finance. Preference is given to students interested in a career in the insurance industry.

Awarded to a student majoring in the Business field or Information Systems (Management) field within the College of Business . The award is based on academic achievement and participation in extra-curricular activities. Consideration will be given for several factors including: leadership, commitment, University support, and financial need.

Awarded to a student majoring in the Business field that has a permanent residence in North Mankato.

Awarded to a junior or senior who has been admitted to the College of Business. The successful candidate will have a proven record of strong leadership skills and a GPA of at least 3.0.

The Cy Denn Financial Planning Scholarship is designed to advance a student through the MSU Certified Financial Planning (CFP) program as well as encourage a student to complete two to four courses through The American College. The American College awards the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and/or the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations.

• A student will be awarded $1,000 the first semester if: the student is enrolled in a fourth or fifth course in the MSU CFP track.
• The same student will be awarded $1,000 the next semester if: the student is enrolled in a fifth or sixth course in the MSU CFP track.
• The same student will be awarded a $1,000 reimbursement after passing the CFP exam within 1 year of graduation.
• The student must state career intentions in the College of Business (COB) scholarship application essay.
• A student enrolled in a third course of the CFP program may also be considered.

The same student will work with his/her Finance Department advisor to stay on track to potentially be awarded certification of various industry designations and licensures. For example, through The American College, two additional distance/on-line courses are needed to obtain either the ChFC or CLU designations (a student that takes a total of 4 additional courses can obtain both the designations).

Awarded to a College of Business major that is on the baseball team.

Awarded for two years with full tuition to a student who meets the following stipulations:

1. This scholarship is open to entering and current students that are majoring in Finance in the College of Business.
2. Each applicant must submit an essay addressing how they believe access to higher education will influence their life. In addition an unofficial transcript must accompany the application.
3. Consideration will be given for both financial need and academic achievement.
4. The student must be a junior in status and committed to attending MSU for their final two years. The scholarship will be renewed the second year providing the recipient meets the stipulations listed herein.
5. At the donors' and Dean's approval, special arrangements may be made for the student to substitute summer classes taken the summer immediately prior their senior year for the student's final spring semester.
6. The scholarship award is for banded tuition only and does not include institutional fees or housing. The award will be for the amount of banded tuition established prior to the beginning of each fall semester.
7. The award may be terminated by the donors at the end of any two-year commitment.

Established by friends and former students of Dr. McCracken. The recipient must be majoring in the Business field and have attended MSU, Mankato for at least one year.  Awarded on the basis of scholarship, ability, character, and promise of achievement.

Awarded to six students admitted to the College of Business. Awards are based on academic achievement. Consideration will be given to financial need.

Awarded to a full-time student that has been admitted to the College of Business. The student will be of junior or senior status, show above average academic achievement, and demonstrate leadership activities. The student will be invited to remain in contact with an executive from Federated Insurance by way of e-mail correspondence.

Awarded to a Finance major who shows scholarship, leadership, and personal integrity and is of junior or senior standing. Preference will be given to Finance Club members as well as financial need.

Dr. Abouelenein taught at MSU for many years and was Dean of the College of Business from 1990 - 1997.  This scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in Business. It is awarded on the basis of academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, and involvement in extra-curricular activities.

Awarded to a first-year student committed to majoring in the College of Business who shows above average academic achievement and demonstrates leadership ability. This scholarship is a four-year renewable scholarship. If more than one candidate qualifies, financial need shall be the criteria for selection.

Dr. Hazel A. Flood arrived on campus in the fall of 1947 to establish a new program to enable graduates to obtain licensure to teach Business Education in high schools and provide for pre-business training for students who wished to go onto business occupations. Her curriculum and goals set the foundation out of which the College of Business grew. Dr. Flood retired in 1969.  A junior, senior, or Master of Arts in Teaching student majoring in a Business Education Licensure avenue will have first consideration as a recipient of this Business Education Licensure scholarship. If no Business Education Licensure students apply, the scholarship may be awarded to a student in the College of Business.

Miss Jean Goodenow arrived on campus in 1950 and taught Business Education until her death in September of 1968. Miss Goodenow taught many of the classes necessary for the Business Education Teaching Licensure. She also advised students who were taking classes for employment in the business world rather than for the BS in Teaching Licensure.  A junior, senior, or Master of Arts in Teaching student majoring in a Business Education Licensure avenue will have first consideration as a recipient of this Business Education Licensure scholarship. If no Business Education Licensure students apply, scholarship may be awarded to a student in the College of Business.

Awarded to a full-time MSU, Mankato student who has been admitted to the College of Business, is an active member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, and has a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. The applicant must submit a written essay of 500 words or more reflecting how the applicant has benefited Phi Kappa Psi.

Awarded to a student planning to attend Minnesota State University and major in Business. The recipient is selected through participation in the JA Business Challenge.

Awarded to a junior or senior student majoring within the College of Business in Accounting or Business -- based on demonstrated scholastic achievement and above average potential for success in their chosen field of work. Recipient shall be of good character and have a record of good citizenship and community service; the recipient shall possess leadership qualities and be well accepted by peers and staff. Further, the recipient shall have financial need as demonstrated by the current institutional guidelines.

Awarded to a junior or senior student athlete who has been admitted to the College of Business and is majoring in Marketing. Awarded on the basis of written communication skills, participation in extra-curricular activities, and academic achievement.

Awarded to a student majoring in Management who has demonstrated academic achievement.

Awarded to a junior or senior majoring in Marketing. Awarded on the basis of written communication skills, participation in extra-curricular activities, and academic achievement.

Awarded to a sophomore or junior majoring in Business. The award is based on demonstrated scholastic achievement (minimum 3.2 GPA) and above average potential for success in his/her chosen field of work. Recipient shall possess leadership qualities and sense of community. This scholarship is renewable (two years total) as long as the student maintains his/her eligibility.

Awarded to a sophomore who is majoring in Marketing. Awarded on the basis of written communication skills, participation in extra-curricular activities, and academic achievement.

Awarded to a student-athlete in good academic standing that is majoring in the College of Business.

Awarded to one female student and one male student, both from North Mankato, who are in good academic standing.

Given annually to a student majoring in the Business field.

Awarded to a student who has declared a major in Marketing or Management.

1. Preference will be given to those students having a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
2. Student must have demonstrated leadership experience and community service as evidenced by their essay response on the associated application.
3. The scholarship will be awarded in the spring for the following fall semester.
4. Each scholarship amount will be equal to $1,000 per year, payable in two equal payments ($500 per semester).
5. Preference will be given to the opposite major every other year (Management or Marketing).

Awarded to a student who is majoring in Business, Finance, or Banking, has been admitted to the College of Business, has completed at least 30 semester hours, and who must maintain employment while attending College. A GPA of 3.0 is desirable, but letters of recommendation concerned with leadership, career potential, and work ethic will also be considered.

Awarded to a senior Business major with a minimum GPA of 3.3, who has the potential for high achievement and entrepreneurial aspirations. The student should also have a proven track record in a business-related activity as well as an interest in international business.

Awarded to a junior or senior majoring in Finance who has been admitted to the College of Business. The successful candidate will have a proven record of strong leadership skills and a GPA of at least 3.0.

Awarded to a junior or senior student majoring in Marketing. Awarded on the basis of written communication skills, participation in extra-curricular activities, and academic achievement.

Awarded to an undergraduate student of an under-represented minority group (this includes Hispanic American, American Indian, African American, and Asian American) majoring in the College of Business.

Applicant must be a citizen of the United States and have demonstrated scholastic achievement in high school or have a minimum 2.5 GPA at MSU. Consideration will be given to financial need.

Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student majoring in Marketing. Award is based on academic achievement (minimum 2.5 GPA). Consideration will be given to financial need.
